| 1 May 08 More on DFID aid: The GM as usual is behind the times [see 24 April hash blog entry from the GM]. We had (Hash Scribes Union, (Nepal H4 Chapter) already requested some of Dfid’s aid for ‘raising English skills”. They replied that the standard of our Hash Shite was so high that they could not consider our request. They did however suggest that a request for funding for training for the GM in communication skills and oratory might be considered. K.L. Spokesperson HSU (H4) | ||||||||
| 30 Apr 08 Nice, Just a small remark, I read on the site that the location for hash 1340 [Towed: the location for Hash 1340 was the Second Bungamati Tree!!] will be me and HeBitch. I'm sure HeBitch's belly will provide a sufficient and satisfying replacement for the Mountains of Nepal, but my body is just to flimsy and feeble for y'all to trample upon. /Ties | ||||||||
| 30 Apr 08 More blather from Towed: I've just read the trashes by Ties and noted his application for membership of the Trash Writers' Guild. There are a number of issues that need clarification. The money for Improving English is from DFID and not CLOGAID and is therefore only available to citizens of her colonies and south of the Humber (KL qualifies on three counts there with his original nationality, his hash name and residence in US - does he get three times as much?). Also the trash writers guild is only for people who can write comprehendable English. Also (in respect of trash 1536) for those who write shorter trashes than those like wot I do. On and On and On, Towed. | ||||||||
| 29 Apr 08 Towed on aid money: Rotts, the DFID programme is incentive-based - I receive a reduction in the duration of my contract here for every completed and grammatically correct Trash wot I write. PS, Over-Exposed finally made it here and has been on the last three hashes. Last week's was my first encounter as I have been on leave. We were run off the road on the way to the run by his convoy of four landcruisers with occupants armed to the teeth and lights flashing and sirens blaring. Towed | ||||||||
| 29 Apr 08 Double Dutch: I couldn't bare to watch the deplorable state our hash thrashes [ed. surely trashes!] are in of late, so I wrote one for the Yogi-hash 1536 and the Prachanda-hash 1537. The biggest lapse in my reporting concerns the circle-procedings. I just copied the stuff on the hash page and wrote down the bits that stuck to the back of my head. Bbtw, there is a Union of Hash Scribes?? While I have been writing all this time totally unprotected against the market forces? Also the existence of this bulwark implies employment, so where's my money! On, on, und so weiter, Ties | ||||||||
| 24 Apr 08 Where does all the aid money go? Dear GM, I have just read in The Guardian Weekly of 4th of this month that DfID are about to spend $100m on 'raising English language skills' in Bangladesh. Does it need this much to persuade Towed to write a literate and comprehensible trash for the Dakha Hash? And can the HHHH not have some of it to improve the performance of Keeled Over, KL, and the rest of the Kathmandu chapter of the Union of Hash Scribes? I would be willing to manage any funds diverted for this purpose. OnOn. Rotter | ||||||||
| 16 Apr 08 Photos wanted from Hash 1500/1501: Can anyone with any photos from hashes 1500/1501 in Bandipur please send them to me at cjacoby@jhuccp.org or bring them on a CD to the hash. We're making a film and would like to incorporate any photos that people took that the film did not capture. G-miz | ||||||||
| 2 Apr 08 Rock’s Mini Golf and Restaurant: Kruel Kent is opening up a new restaurant on Sunday 6 April in Dhobighat near Sanepa serving steaks etc. Phone Kent at 4331519 for more details. And yes there is normally no advertising on the hash. We hope that Kruel will be setting a run from there before too long and offering a heavy discount on the beer KO | ||||||||

| 6 Apr 08 NEWSFLASH: CHILDKILLER SURVIVES ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT: "Just to let people know that despite the cunning attempts of this week's hares to extract revenge on me for all my years of killing children on the HASH -- going so far as to set the trail over every hill for ten kilometers around, setting a hash that lasted for three hours into the dark, positioning people along the route who did not speak a word of English, nor had ever heard of Gorkana Forest, and finally trying to pick me off with renegade taxis and buses on the run-in ... all they managed to do was create extreme exhaustion and severe dehydration. After a visit to the Ciwec Clinic I have been declared fit to terrorize children on the HASH for the foreseeable future. Better luck next time kids!" Childkiller [Note from the Mismanagement Committee - we were going to award you the Hashit posthumously if you hadn't survived!] | ||||||||
| 4 Apr 08 Trash 1534: Pretty amazing trash this week folks. Check it out. KO | ||||||||
| 29 Mar 08 One way of solving the hash paper shortage: The ashes of granny Gladys Wood have been put to good use – as a trail for a running club to follow. Members of the Hash House Harriers became the Ash House Harriers when they marked an 8km (5mile) course in honour of their friend. The ashes of the 84-year-old were mixed with sawdust and flour on the trail, in Dorset. Nice. A friend said: 'It was a fitting end and I think she would have approved of what we did." | 19 Mar 08 Child cruelty. Hello good friends. It´s almost April again and I will be off for the third time to cross Austria running in 25 days. If your German is good enough you can follow the progress on our website; if not just enjoy the daily pictures. Cheers to all Peter 'Fat/Fast Forward' Rietveld [ed. will FF be again pushing his baby around the run! I thought the kid would be old enough to keep up with his Dad by now!] | ||||||||
| 16 Mar 08 Ciao from Rome. I recently hashed the Ides of March of Rome Hash. Find some pictures of them by clicking here. It was great running crazy around the eternal city wearing roman dress with all the tourists looking at us, some of them even shouting and cursing. Well, the On-In was not as hardcore as ours, but they had many different hash songs. On On, HairStyle | ||||||||
| 7 Mar 08 Hoi KO and Rotter! I've just looked at your webshite and note the sickening, fawning praise for this bloke Mark wot wrote a trash almost as long as one of mine. Not only that, but it is not even in English. You never said things like that about me! Anyway, what I'm really writing for is that, noting the positive plethora of scribes that you seem now to have, could you spare a couple to come down here and help me out as I am around 7 trashes behind (we had 5 runs in 10 days!) and struggling to keep up. On On, Towed | ||||||||
| 5 Mar 08 Loyal servants, I mean subjects, I mean citizens, In my first act as president of the HWU, I humbly accept the certification bestowed on me by KL and HZ. I hereby bestow the responsibility for trash writing on my newly appointed Prime Minister, HZ. Should the promise of timely mismanagement of the posting of trashes not be carried out, the HWU will be forced to activate it's youth wing in order to solve the crisis. KO and HZ, I hope your kids are ready. KL, you may substitute Dunny in the absence of any available youths to sacrifice for the cause. Presidentially yours, Mark | ||||||||
| 4 Mar 08 What a 'magnificent hash trash' (1530) written by Mark. He has just been voted in as new Hash Writer's Union (HWU) President and has been certified to write trashes by KL and myself. gUARANTEED Mismanagement of the posting of trashes has been heard and promised many times in the past. | 28 Feb 08 Folks, I wouldn't dream of saving you folks space by allowing you to erase me. This used to happen a lot in China, and usually the people who were air-brushed out of the picture wished they hadn't been. Still waiting to be confirmed before I can start running the Dhaka hash. On-on, Over-exposed [In response to an invitation to have his many H4 trash photos wiped to save space on the hash server (see below)]. |

| 27 Feb 08 A sad but true letter to the GM: "Dear GM, Some friends have warned me that they have found a picture of me while trying to Google me, that appears on your website at http://aponarch.com [...] trash_1484.html > (third picture from above). I have indeed participated to the Hash run that day (21 April 2007) but I do not remember having been warned that pictures may be posted on your website, nor have I given my approval to do so. Therefore, I would kindlly ask you to remove it from your website please. Thank you **** *******." Click here to see how the hash has sensitively responded to this plea. | 23 Feb 08 News from Squizza: Hey guys, hope all is well in Kathmandu. We are living back in Aus at the moment. Needed to touch base with our roots. Got hitched a couple of weeks ago. | 16 Feb 08 Marathon woman: Hey KO, today, I completed the 42.195 km run in Pokhara. There were sufficient water and sponge supply points. More than that, the school children and local peoples' great cheering encouraged us a lot to run. Also, there was a strong discipline of the marathon management. Pokhara Marathon was well worth participating in! On on! S.W. | ||||||||
| 14 Feb 08 Chelsea Tractors: As of hash 1528, anyone turning up in a gas-guzzling Chelsea tractor (and which does not contain a large quantity of beer - GM) will be charged a surcharge on their hash fee payable to the ExGM's Retirement Fund for Global Warming. | 4 Feb 08 Dear Rotter, Glad to see The Ex-GM has now made a comeback and features regularly in the hash trash, tho' the GMizz seems to be ruling the roost! I see that Luke and Josh featured in the trash a couple of times not long after we left but don't seem to have appeared recently. Maybe someone could chase up their new owners c/o the UN and find out why they are failing to provide proper exercise and the usual weekly workouts/opportunities to kill chickens etc?? | 28 Jan 08 Dear Towed, You can indeed open a local chapter of the (now International) HashTrash Writers Union in Bangladesh, provided of course that 10% of all dues collected are forwarded to the HWU executive here in Kathmandu (Please make cheques in Australian dollars only payable to G. Connor). You may like to know that we have written to the Screen Writers Guild of America advising them of our full support in their demands for internet royalties (HHHH mismanagement please note) and requesting their reciprocal support in our quest for less tardiness and more civility from the said mismanagement. Regards KL p.s. Sorry to hear about the knees, however, I have been reliably told that that a knee brace does tend to give one a distinguished air - something otherwise sadly lacking on HHHH. | ||||||||
| 28 Jan 08 Rotts, Does KO actually have two socks of each colour or are these the same, but just other way round as the photos for 1524 and 1525 show? Of the 6974 visitors to the site since Oct 2006, how many of these are Towed and myself? My excuse is that I’m semi-retired and Towed’s is probably that he’s Consultant and therefore has a lot of free time at work. Regards, Turd Herder PS As a sometime Hash Trash on H4 and on other H3s can I join the TWU and set up an Irish chapter for semi-retired HTs? | ||||||||
| 25 Jan 08 Dear Rotts, The similarities don't just end with being objectionable and writing (excellent) trash, but I am now porting a neoprene cripple kit on my right knee, similar to the one wot KL wears. On On Towed | ||||||||
| 24 Jan 08 Dear Towed, Why is it that the most objectionable hashers write trashes and congregate in unions? If you and KL think I'm going to put up with pen-downs for better conditions and annual hash fee bargaining etc. etc. you've got another one coming. But I do support working to rule. The only one: The GM is always right. Yours on on for ever. Rotter Founder Amalgamated Union of GMs and GMizzes (one lives in hope) | ||||||||
| 23 Jan 08 Dear Rotts, I know you haven't heard from me for a while and will be missing the cut and thrust of our usual jocular correspondence. However, my interest was aroused by KL's remarks in trash 1524 regarding the aforementioned Trash Writers Union. Could you explain if this is going to be an international organisation and if so, how can I join and set up the Dhaka Chapter. Yours succinctly Towed | ||||||||

| 24/11/07 News of the Religious Adviser: I was down in Jhapa last week and popped in to see The Fox. He's having a great time down there, teaching and trekking the Eastern Hills. His only worry is getting posted back to Kathmandu, but that does not seem to be on the horizon at the moment. He tells me the area surrounding the school would be great for hashing, except in the hot season. So I think we've found a venue for Run 1600! The mountain visible behind him is a spur of Kangchenjunga, I think. GM | ![]() |

We have managed to produce a Shrivelled Barbie that will one day come back and haunt the HHHH with more vengeance than we ever managed to dish out! Little Ossie Squirrell is already showing signs of being an amazingly well-hung athlete like his old man and appears to have been fortunately given the gracious looks of his mother (see photo). We are returning to the mighty land down under as of 2008 (indefinitely). All HHHH (except Rotter) are more than welcome to access the fridge and pull up a pew if in Melbourne. I trust the tree was not too seriously damaged but it must have given the pack a laugh (Moira certainly thought it was funny!). | 3/10/07 Hash 1509 Crisis: Seems like the best and the brightest of our Hashers will be running the marathon this Saturday, hence making it tough to find someone to set the Hash on that day. Here are two options that we can entertain: 1. Change the Hash 1509 starting time to 0600 hrs. I'll volunteer to be the live Hare. The Hash will start from Tripureswor, and the run will be about 21 km long. 2. Ask the GM to surprise us by being the mystery Hare and set a great Hash that we will all remember for a long long time. Maybe if the Samurai Hares could post a GoogleEarth shot outlining the trail they are planning to set, we will be spared from being misled by Dingaling once again. DSD [DoggyStyle Dai]
| 29/8/07 Hi, Keeled Over Dai, I'm so glad to inform you that the On Site is fixed as the open space of Lalitpur District Forest Office, Sisneri Post. Despite of the same on-site for Hash 1489, we've settled the different direction for both Run & Walk. The 1504 Hares are: 1) Spider Woman (?5 Years Old Hare Debut!), 2) Yoshi, 3) Moosette, 4) Mooselette (6 MONTHS Old Hare Debut!) and 5) Chandra (from the Spider Syndicate). See you at Sisneri on Saturday. On on! S. Miki W. |

| 21/8/07 Thanks to everyone on HHHH for making us welcome back on the Run 1500 weekend, which Towed Under, Custard Tart and I thoroughly enjoyed. Special thanks to the GM for all the organising and to Doggy Style and the Gee Mizz for their support. I'm not sure about thanks to the Hares, especially for Checks 9 and 10 on Run 1,500 or for Rubber Legs' multiple trails on 1501 (as well as the heat) but I'll give them all the benefit of the doubt. I have created an online album for Hashers to share pictures from
the Bandipur Hash. This is how you upload to it:

| 8/8/07 Here's the BBC Weather Forecast for Kathmandu for the coming Saturday and Sunday. I don't think it will be much different in Bandipur except for a bit more wind. GM | ![]() |
|||||||
| 7/8/07 We now have details of Run 1500 Weekend buses and departure arrangements which you can see on the details page. GM | ||||||||
| 3/8/07 In view of current news on the rather wet weather, can you get The Fox to put in a good word in the Right Place. Also appreciated if he can persuade bothe GMG and Biman airlines a) to fly on schedule and b) to land on runways rather than hillsides. On On. Towed | ||||||||
Run 1500 Weekend Details Click here to get all details. Please note that the three major hotels have all been taken by Hashers, so other people who wish to come will have to stay in one of the smaller ones (although all food will be taken together in Bandipur Mountian Resort). GM 3/8/07 |

| 24/7/07 I have ordered 100 T-shirts for Run 1500. They should be ready for August 1st. It looks like they are going to be in great demand (Stats has booked 16!), but there may be time to get some more made before the great event, if needs be. GM | ||||||||

The Hash will begin at my house in Maharajgunj this Saturday at 3
pm. It will be followed by a barbecue at
my house. There is parking for up to ten vehicles in the vacant
lot behind my house. Please see the location map here.
I will have a grill to bbq food and a large kitchen. I will provide some food but I am an awful cook. I would very much appreciate if people can bring food and drinks. Please contact me at (email address removed from the spammer's crawlers) to so that we can coordinate. On-On! Ding-a-Ling |

| 24/7/07 I have added Jimmi's words to Trash 1497. GM | ||||||||
| 8/7/07 T-Shirts for Run 1500. Click here to see the design, which has the full approval of The Committee. It will be available in S, M, L, and XL sizes and in Grey, Red, Dark Blue, Green, and Burgundy colours. It would be a help in working out their order if people e-mailed me with the quantity, size, and colour they intend to buy. Price is likely to be Rs450. I will order them when I get back to Kathmandu around 14th July. GM | ||||||||
| 20/7/07 The GM is back in town and able to pass on to you instructions for the Run 1497 Onsite, sent by the Hares to Doggy Style. I know very roughly where they are taking us but not accurately enough to post a map. GM | ||||||||
| 19/7/07 Aha, World Link have just told me that they have a branch in Janakpur. So I can post tomorrow evening if someone emails me details. GM | ||||||||
| 19/7/07 I just spoke to Shasa and she said "don't worry, we'll handle everything". I said "great, but I'll still get blamed if there's a cockup". I don't know why I bother. Hmmm. GM | ||||||||
| 19/7/07 I cannot give you any idea of where Saturday's Hash is as I have not had anything from the Hares and I am in Dharan where fortunately there is a World Link branch from where I have been able to post this. I may be able to get in to Kathmandu on Saturday morning, but I can't guarantee it. I may have to watch the mismanagement from afar. I suggest Rabi finds out where the location is and emails everyone. He will have all the email addresses on the most recent Contact List. Toodle Pip. GM | ||||||||
| 16/7/07 I ordered the Run 1500 t-shirts today. Don't blame me if I got the numbers and sizes wrong; I've only had three replies to the request for intent to buy made below. If we run out you'll have to have one of Towed's made for Run 1400. OnOn GM | ||||||||
| 16/7/07 On Saturday I visited the town of Bandipur and saw that it would be perfect for the Run 1500 weekend. There are two good hotels (the one that would give me a price said $25 per night) and three or four lesser ones, but all catering for the tourist market so they are pretty clean, and also cheap (Rs250-Rs400 per night). We would be based in one of the good ones with overspill either in the other good one or spread amongst the others (which are all close together). The only problem may be getting enough free rooms - this year's tourist season looks like it is going to be busy. Rabi is contacting the hotels' Kathmandu offices to find out about occupancy and prices. The location of the town is fantastic - nice and cool with possible views to the mountains if the clouds clear and the rain stops. Not a lot of flat land around for easy runs though. OnOn GM | ||||||||
| 16/7/07 I have added KL's words, sent from New York, to Trash 1495. KL apologises for them being so brief. If this is his idea of brevity then I'm glad we didn't get the full version. GM | ||||||||
| 8/7/07 Finally! Jimmi was able to turn over a working CD of photos of Run 1492. Click here to see the updated Trash. GM | ||||||||
| 1/7/07 Great venue for Hash 1500 now being investigated! The old Newari town of Bandipur, halfway between Kathmandu and Pokhara. There's at least one decent hotel, in spectacular landscape. More news soon. GM | ||||||||
| 4/7/07 Trash 1492 has finally aquired a picture. Send more. GM | ||||||||
| 29/6/07 I just realized that it being 07/07/07 next Saturday that I should have 7 checks instead of 6. That means two more circles to make! If you go to the Jawelikhel zoo this afternoon you just might see some hares and hounds (us). Stats | ||||||||

DS. Sorry about the error - I was
"confused" at the time and my little piece of paper was
blurred with sweat. We certainly appreciated the guidance to the hold
check.
By the way - just to set the record straight the hare was Keeled - not KL (your second paragraph) - I would never have set a hash that long! KL |
||||||||
28/6/07 Hey GM. In Trash 1493 KL wrote: "The pack was even more spread out and things were getting lonely at the back. Where was Keeled wasn't he supposed to sweep at the back? Luckily Raj came back to lead us off the Lele road to the 7th check, which had been made into a hold to allow the pack to regroup; seems the FRBs were so eager to get to the beer they couldn't hold it for long." We need to remind KL that Doggy Style is not Raj (I know all Nepalis look the same to you foreigners and vice versa). It was Doggy Style who volunteered to go back from check-turned-holding number 7 to sweep the slow turtles after the Hare. KL waved off the idea of checking on the pack at the back. DS should be duly rewarded for his spirit of cooperation. OnOn Doggy Style. (actually the name that KL put in his trash draft was 'Raja'. It was me that took the last 'a' off. So perhaps his intent was 'King Doggy Style'. -GM) |

| 24/6/07 On the occasion of his departure from the HHHH, after Run 1494 Overexposed will be hosting a party beside the Godavari Resort Hotel swiming pool where a buffet dinner will be provided. All hashers are welcome. The Hotel has showers should anybody want to wash the mud and sweat off first. GM | ||||||||
| 24/6/07 Jimmi you flatlander idiot. The CD case you gave me at the hash yesterday was empty! So I STILL need the photos of Run 1492. GM | ||||||||
4/5/07 Fellow hashers, the magnificent auspicious 1500th running of the Himalayan Hash House Harriers is due for 11 August 2007. Let's mark the event in some special way! Any ideas to the GM or Me. Keeled Over. Here are the first suggestions:
|
||||||||
| 13/6/07 Dear GM, I stopped off at Kruel's Kastle yesterday to elicit Kruel's excuse for not coming to last week's hash only to find that Mrs Kruel (Shobha) had produced a son for him nine day's previously. Congratulations to Kruel and Shobha on the birth of Evan. Mother and son are doing fine but Kruel looked a bit under the weather. On-on Keeled | ||||||||
| 11/6/07
Well done to Doggy Style for providing
the words for this trash - it's a bloody site more than Keeled
has managed for 1484. Only one comment: I didn't know that you had
anyone from the British Embassy running on the hash. I simply can't
think of any other embassy where they speak English, unless it was
the Indian Embassy.
On Run 1500, Towed Under and I would prefer a run in Kathmandu Valley. Pokhara doesn't appeal too much, especially with the extra travelling when we're only coming for the weekend. I did recce Gokarna once when staying at Le Meridien and was not too impressed as there didn't seem to be many trails other than the wide grassy ones. Suggest that this option strays beyond the forest boundaries for more interesting Hashing but the Meridien would be a great base. You could always see if you can get some of the monkeys for a d-d. On On Towed |
||||||||
| 7/6/07 Doggy Style has added words to Trash 1487. Click here to read. GM | ||||||||
| 25/5/07 Dear GM: glad to see that the Bangladesh hash keep their shite bang uptodate!! (check out the links on the 24/5/07 comment below). Keeled Over | ||||||||
| 24/5/07 Interested to hear that Towed is the 'nominated' Dhaka Mixed Hash Scribe. Click here for that hash's latest Trash, and here to complain to their Mismanagement. Hope you get the nomination Towed. Meanwhile could you hone your talents on Trash 1487 for us? GM | ||||||||
| 23/5/07 Words to Trash 1488 now posted. A story of epic length from Barbie, somewhat reminiscent of our former Scribe now inflicting his drivel on the Dhaka Hash. GM | ||||||||
| 23/5/07 Hoi, do you mind? I had absolutely nothing to do with the Run 1400 tee shirts. TU arranged, I believe, with your approval. Towed (buck passing services a speciality) | ||||||||
| 23/5/07 Uncoupled, I am creating a shortage of official t-shirts so that the punters will have to buy the special design I will prepare for Run 1500. This will involve screen-printing a '5' on top of the '4' on all of Towed's leftover Run 1400 shirts. GM | ||||||||
| 23/5/07 If orange is now the unofficial HHHH color, can you offer other colors than puke-fucia, unholy orange, and army green as HHHH t-shirt colors? Ah, yes, and larger sizes! (whinge, whine, mumble, grumble...) The Uncouple | ||||||||

Dear Rotter, Maybe you could publicise
this on the Hash webshite before Saturday?
The British Embassy Sterling Club is organising a night at the races on Saturday 2nd June from 6.30 p.m. onwards (first race at 7.15). Anyone who manages to survive Apple's run on Saturday is welcome to come along, relax, and enjoy the fun. You don't have to be a member of the club, and entrance is free. You only need to give your name after Saturdays's hash to Victim, so that he can let the guards at the gate know who is coming. There will be food including roast pork and drinks including Guinness available to buy from the bar. During the evening there will be eight films shown of actual horse races at Haydock Park, with eight numbered horses in each race. You can bet on whichever horses you think will win, (minimum bet NR50), as many times as you like. When all the bets have been placed, the race will be shown and if you are the winner you can collect your winnings from the tote table. You can also buy horses (NR100 each) to qualify for valuable prizes from sponsors like Jaya Travels, My Fair Lady, Summit Hotel and Radisson Hotel if your horse wins a race. Victim. |

23/5/07 A little bit of activity on the Shite front page and who do we get spouting forth yet again? Of course, it's: Deer Gee Emm, As the nominated scribe for Dhaka Mixed Hash I regret that my services are unavailable. However, I note that Turd Herder appears to be interested so why not nominate him? You couldn't get less out of him than you appear to have from scribes since Run 1484. Towed PS Off back to Blighty tonight to see the rest of the amphibians - will pass on your good wishes. |
||||||||
| 23/5/07 Thank you Barbie my dear. I'll post it in due course. Of course I will be contacting Jimi to get his side of the story before definitely letting you off the blame for the delay. GM | ||||||||
| 23/5/07 Hello David. Here the trash -sorry it took awhile need to get Jimi's input on the runners experiences. ON-ON. Michael (aka Barbie) | ||||||||
| 23/5/07 Oops! I've done it again. GM | ||||||||
| 23/5/07 Rotter, responding to you’re well put reply to Turd: I must correct you on you’re comments on Barbie –I might be tall and some might consider me ugly –but I am NOT Dutch… -I don’t run around picking up tulips and fixing dikes in my spare time –I am Danish… ON-ON Barbie | ||||||||

| 22/5/07
Dear Rotter, Why do the hash trashes
listed on the main page leap from 1485 to 1487, omitting 1486? (I
have corrected this - GM) Is this a rather feeble attempt by
the Hash mismanagement to distract the attention of hashers who, by
definition, have a short attention span, away from the fact that the
mismanagement has so far failed to nominate a scribe for run 1486?
Maybe to avoid such disinformation in the future, it would be a good idea to nominate a scribe for the next week's run at the same time as nominating the next week's hares, i.e. at the previous week's hash? Or alternatively why not have a permanent Hash scribe? I'm not volunteering, as I've just heard we're moving to S Africa in a few weeks time. Would very much like to hear from anyone willing to offer a good home to Josh or Luke (or both) . They can be relied upon to bark vociferously when strangers enter the compound, and Josh is getting quite good at tracking where the paper starts at checks, but as British Council baggage allowances don't extend to animals.... Victim |
||||||||
| 21/5/07 Rotter, How come some one has cocked up the front of the hash shite for Run 1488? In the Hashit box Barbie. In the Hares box Barbie, Jimmi, Richard . In the photographs the hares do not include anyone who looks like the person in the Hashit photo. Regards to all, Turd Herder and Bog Trotter | ||||||||
| 21/5/07
My Dear Turd, The Hare is Barbie,
NOT Barbie Girl who I am sure you
would have wished to appear in the photos instead of an ugly tall
Dutchman in an orange hash t-shirt. Yours correctively The
Grand Master PS Hope you and BT are well. I'm pleased to see that the Shite continues to fill in time until you pop off. |
||||||||
| 8/5/07 Dear GM, You were telling me that other H3 clubs don't really do much running. Well, Madrid H3 http://www.madridhhh.com certainly do run. We ran about 12 kms up and down hills. Reminded me of some of Yogi Hare's Hashes. Received a grand welcome to MH3 with a free t-shirt, cap, and a lot of beers (but someone had beat me to be the first Nepali in MH3). On-On. HairStyle | ||||||||
| 5/5/07 For a change, the run numbering fault is entirely mine. You will see above that I have made the necessary corrections. Keeled, noting Towed's determination to come to Run 1500, how about moving from 1499 directly to 1501? That will enable us to save money on t-shirts, extra beer, and exotic location, and also spare us the return of the Prolix One. GM | ||||||||
| 5/5/07 Towed! What's wrong with having two consecutive run no. 1485s? And yes it was Rotter wot cocked up this week's Receding Hareline ... talking of which I am going to suggest to the circle after tomorrow's brilliant run that you are not invited as Guest of Honour to the auspicious 1500th run? How about Guest of Dishonour? make a date in your diary. KO | ||||||||
| 5/5/07 Last week, 28th April would appear to have been run 1485, according to the excellent trash. Counting from there gets me to 11th August for Run 1500. Without any Royals now, you can't have a week off for another massacre, or are you planning to have two consecutive Run No 1485 as implied by the home page. It would appear from the above thet Keeled is unable to count and, on the basis of trash 1484, unable to write. Towed | ||||||||
| 3/5/07 Deer Gee Emm, The more I think about it, the more convinced I am that my statement about the late lamented Monty is incorrect and that Monty was Ever Ready's dog, brother of the offending Bass. Surprised none of your avid readers has corrected me. Could it be that no-one else reads this tripe? Also good to see that visiting scribes get their trash up on time (reminding me that I'm now official Scribe for Dhaka Mixed Hash). Wurza trash for 1484? Noting that you are now at Run 1486 this coming weekend, you should hit 1,500 in early August. What plans are being laid for this glorious anniversary? If you don't tell me, I'll come anyway. On On Towed | ||||||||
| 27/4/07 Blimey! Towed must have something on his computer that lights up whenever the Shite is updated. I only published Griot's comments an hour ago in the first updating for a week. If your really want to be helpful Towed you could Hare tomorrows run. OnOn. GM | ||||||||
| 27/4/07 Just a couple of brief comments: firstly on Trash 1484 - whatever happened to the tradition of including photographs of the Hares? (Although I do note that the tradition of awarding the Hashit to someone guaranteed not to return it the following week was observed). Secondly, in the light of Griot's comments, to place the late lamented Monty up there with the great hash dogs. When running under his maiden name of Bass and under the tutelage of Fast Forward, Monty was alleged to have drowned a sheep somewhere up near the Godavari Pines. Duckbill and I were witnesses to the start of the incident. However, proof was never confirmed despuite Fast Forward offering to increase the compensation by 300 rupees if he could have the carcass to take home and eat. OnOn. Towed | ||||||||

Re: Trash 1483: the misidentified
photo is Mieko from the USA, working
in Mali - WEST AFRICA.
Re: Hash 1482: this may have been the first goat saving hash, but there have been goat killing hashes - at least one - back in 1984 when Raj Mallipati's dog Micky took a massive chunk out of the neck of a too-slow goat (or maybe it was a sheep) on the slopes of the Bungamati (if I remember right - The Fox will remember - if it wasn't Bungamati, it was west of the Godavari road). Actually, the hash suspected that the supposedly killed animal was merely seriously injured and not dead - but I think that may have gone into the bargained price to compensate the owner of the injured party. Of course, there have been many other mishaps involving smaller critters. Finally, it was the Goat Rescue Committee - new name for the former International Rescue Committee. OnOn Griot |

Minor corrigenda (sic), with due respect to the lady concerned, but the GM's sister is neither newcomer nor virgin (so I was told) (I only put the pretty colours on the names, I don't actually read the trashes, but thanks for the correction - GM) Hi Moira, hope you're enjoying life. On On Towed |

| 30/3/07 1700hrs I just arrived back in Kathmandu an hour ago after a 3-day field trip and got Prabal the Hare's email with the location of Run 1481. His words are a little unclear, especially as they seem to point to a place which is not called Manamaiju (see the map). The position of my arrow is my best estimate until I can get more word from Prabal. Does anybody know his phone number? If you don't hear anything more just drive around the district for a bit tomorrow afternoon. There ought to be some paper somewhere . . . . GM | ||||||||
| 28/3/07 Hats off to Newcomer Hash-Trash Barbie for the prompt and entertaining Trash 1480. I think we can do away with the disclaimer though. Deer Gee Emm, Just a brief note
to say heartiest congratulations to the Japanese Moose

Under on the birth of their daughter.
Also to point out to your esteeeemed assistant that the use of the suffix 'let' to denote the offspring of a particular species is not spelled with an extra 'te' on the end, viz piglet, ducklet, etc. Also to advise that I will be gaining another email address from tomorrow jerry@wspdhaka.com. The Mismanagement brings some water to each event but be sure to bring your own stocks, and if you really want to avoid dehydration (whether caused by loss of sweat or intake of alcohol) put some infant rehydration forumla in it. In my experience the Indian 'Electrobion' is the best stuff. GM

10/3/07 Keeled, This is a quick note to inform our friends at HHHH that Yoshi and I have been blessed with a beautiful baby girl on February 26th in Tokyo. | 9/3/07 I have sad news to report. Kruel has been stricken down with hepatitis A. He's over the crisis and is now back at home where he tells me he has a cellar full of unneeded beer and spirits. But he doesn't appear to have lost his bodily spirit at all, as he has just sent me his version of Trash 1475 with some nice photos. See it here. I'm sure you will all join me in wishing Kruel a swift recovery. In fact, with my fractured toe, we really ought to be setting trails for the disabled. Except that Keeled is not allowed to do it. GM
| 3/3/07 Dear GM The new photo at the top of Trash 1476 is a really crap quality image replacing the pre-existing excellent shot of my shorts. I also note that I received nine mentions in last week's trash and am very happy to at last get the recognition I deserve. Keeled | ||||||||
| 23/2/07 Dear Niva, Your are the only person to notice that this day does not exist. This does not surprise me given the general level of intelligence of the pack. I would certainly take your offer of setting Run 1477 if you were to do it on the 3rd of March (2007) and get some males to help you. As you know the Hash has had enough of totally female input recently. OnOn GM | ||||||||
| 23/2/07 GM or/and Keeled, Hash 1477 to be held on February 31??? Which year is that going to be on? Well I can set the Hash 1477 only if it falls on Feb 31, 2007. OnOn Niva | ||||||||
| 22/2/07 Towed, you don't know the half of it. I admonished him after Run 1473 for continually advising us all to 'go right'. The only way I can think of for correcting this unfashionable tendency is to order that the hares must always set anti-clockwise. GM | ||||||||
| 22/2/07 Just a happy thought that occurred - in naming BigJim you could, perhaps, have been more considerate of his future given the tenuous hold on power (and reality) of the current Administration. With an eye to the possible change of White House occupant, perhaps you should simply have given him that good old English slang for "name" of "Moniker". Lets face it, any bloke called that is a cert for a job if Hillary's in the White House! Towed | ||||||||
| 22/2/07 Dear Victim, Thanks for the trash, just don't try to imitate my professional approach to serious mismanagement too closely or the Hash will be EVEN WORSE! For not only did you not instruct Kruel forcefully enough, you also got my email address wrong and it was just by chance that I noticed your email in my spam folder in amongst Towed's never-ending missives. | 22/2/07 Dear Rotter, In what seemed to be the absence of the entire Hash Mismanagement, including the GMizz (who was spotted the night before at the Summit Hotel but appears to have eloped for the weekend with The Uncoupled), not to mention Keeled Over and your good self, I took it upon myself (who is Victim) to get last week's run started and later lead the circle. I forgot at the time to remind Kruel that hares now write the trash, though I did tell him the next day. However, as nothing has appeared on the webshite, here are my own somewhat vague recollections . . . . . | ||||||||
| 22/2/07 OK Griot . . . . Lets's 'ave a go and see how many come. Click on the details above or click here. GM | ||||||||
| 22/2/07 I suppose that I could have just said take the Sitapaila road and head west until you see the cars. But confusion is the hash name of the game and it is interesting to note that the most confused and confusing complainers are the ones who invariably get lost on the hash. So why not lose them on the way to the hash - they might even end up in the right place now and again! I will note that this weeks on-on site is deliberately friendly to the few who travel in small cars - unless you run into the tree in the middle of the road. Yo Nepal Ho! Griot |
||||||||
| 21/2/07 Dear Towed, sensible hashers will ignore Griot's garble and refer to the map. My arrowhead is spot on as usual. GM | ||||||||
| 21/2/07 Dear
GM, I'm confused by this week's run destructions. According
to the detailed guidance, parking is at 100m beyond the left turn
into the small lane at 3.6km from the ring road i.e. 3.7km from the
ring road. The Sitapaila school is at 1.9km from the ring road. However,
the run site is declared to be 1.5km beyond the Sitapaila school.
I will therefore take the main instruction as the truth and stop at
1.5km past the school, so if you don't see me at the run site, that
could be the reason why. Why can't Americans be like the rest of the world and stick to proper imperial units that are so easy to understand. Towed |
||||||||
| 20/2/07 The Uncoupled, in a rare moment of sobriety, has managed to come up with some words for Trash 1474 accompanied by the following apologia trying to blame me for everything: Oh, GM - this was not entirely forgotten, only somewhat. Load-shedding, excesses of alcohol, etc (food, rock and roll, work) caused me to totally forget what you'd asked. Luckily, the GM also confused the issue - "...the new tradition when the Hare has to write the Trash.". Thus, my sin of not doing the Hash Trash for the HHHH-before-last is not without possible excuse and pardon. None the less, I have, after a beer or two, put an effort here, after your little reminder... Click here to view. GM |
||||||||
| 19/2/07 Dear Towed As per your demands for a full apology and retraction etc. ... I do apologise for any mistakes I have made except that I haven't made any. OnOn and Up Yours. Keeled | ||||||||
| 18/2/07 Dear Towed, At last the whole thing. Quite remarkable but could have done with some more detail. OnOn GM P.S. I have not posted any more photos as they will detract from the power of the words, and anyway, almost all the rest are mere variants of what I have already published. | ||||||||
| 18/2/07 Deer Gee Emm, On the date of the 50th anniversary run celebrating my absence I have pleasure in attaching the completed trash for Run 1413. In line with your instruction of 4th January I have, in fact, restricted it to a minimal 1,500 words (a few more than Griot's full vocabulary). Perhaps you'd be good enough to post a few more pictures to fill up the space alongside the text? Yours most respectfully. Towed | ||||||||
| 17/2/07 Dear Keeled, Since the GM will not, I understand, be at today's run I am sending this message to you. Today is a day for double celebration for HHHH - first, and not least, you are celebrating 50 Towed-free runs as my last run was 1425. Second, in honour of this occasion (I knew that I'd never get the apology) I will release the third and final episode in the classic trilogy that will be known in the future as Trash 1413! On On Towed | ||||||||
| 16/2/07 Deer Gee Emm, What incredible success we've had in inspiring so many more people to contribute to the Webshite discussion group. Any more and we'll have a mass debate going on in which case I'm sure that my fellow Master baiter, Griot and the official Hash Wanker, Itchy Balls would feel obliged to join in. Towed | ||||||||
| 15/2/07 GM, FYI - I'm not able to go to the hash this weekend. And on the bile. Hairstyle has obviouly got way into his ouzo and women with mustaches to be able to appreciate such a sublime and artistic hash. Very brave of him to sling mud from however many miles away Greece is. I look forward to his next visit and will of course shower him with kindness and good will - or as much as he has shown. I think that Hoary old Hasher means fantabulous GeeMizz, but knowing Keeled, it probably means I eat my breakfast out of the gutter. Which, of course, I do - so fine with me. GeeMizz | ||||||||
| 14/2/07 An email to: Dear GMizz, You'd better have a look at the shite sometime soon. Towed and Avani are saying quite awful things about Run 1473!. You will obviously want to deny everything, which you can do be sending me the necessary bile for posting. OnOn. Rotts - P.S. You will understand that someone in my position cannot take sides until it's obvious who's going to gain the upper hand. | ||||||||
| 14/2/07 Towed, Avani is indeed Hairstyle. You should have been paying attention in the circle when he acquired it. On Google Earth Jakarta-KTM is 4400km and KTM-Athens is 5750km a difference of 1348km so you are right. I used your orginal Jakarta-KTM distance of 3000 miles, which is 4,828 km, not even a bad rough guess. GM | ||||||||
| 14/2/07 Rotts, I have assiduously read Trash 1473 and scoured the photos for one of someone named Avani, but to no avail. I note, however, reference to someone who departed for Greece with the hash name Hairstyle who I presume is the individual to whom you refer. Not wishing to be pedantic (but I just cannot resist!) but according to worldatlas.com, Hairstyle is, in fact, some 843 miles (1357km, 733 nautical miles) further away from the wrath of the Gee Mizz than I am. On On from afar, Towed | ||||||||
| 13/2/07 Towed, If you had read the caption below Avani's photo in Trash 1473 you would have found out that after getting a down-down he immediately buggered off back to Greece where he is on a Greco-Roman coiffuring course. As that is about 500 miles further from here than you are you can now understand why he felt able to lay on the vitriol (having been taught that it's not only for rubbing in your hair). GM | ||||||||
| 13/2/07 Dear Avani, Thank you so much for joining and enlivening what was becoming a somewhat tiresome ménage à trois on the webshite. I presume that you are a young and impressionable boy, eager to show his worth as a valued participant in the intellectual debate that is the Fresh and Steamy Stuff of the HHHH Webshite. However, I have to express concern at the views that you propound. I can get away with such sentiments as on old and once privileged member if the Inner Circle of HHHH, not so much because of my standing in the Hash, but largely because I am 3,000 miles away in Jakarta and will not be in the circle on Saturday! It may have come to your notice that the GM appears to be incapacitated which means that this week, the circle will be run by the subject of your derision, the Gee Mizz. I wish you luck. Gee Mizz, I have not had the privilege of meeting you but have heard much about you from Keeled. He describes you as a Hoary old Hasher, and I’m sure it was a slip of his editorial pen in his spelling of Hoary. However I’m sure that underneath the tough exterior you are a person of compassion and will be kind to young Avani. In a further gesture of goodwill to the hash and as an inducement for you to be kind, I am releasing Part 2 of Trash 1413 to the GM for publication. On On, Towed |
||||||||
| 13/2/07 Where in the world is Jodi and what is she doing these days? Find out here. GM | ||||||||
| 13/2/07 Dear All, it has just come to my attention that, in line with a large bilateral aid donor, Dingaling, Griot, and Over-Exposed are intending to reduce the hash fees they pay by 26%, i.e. to Rs 185 per run. They state that they are unable to support the GM's terrorising behaviour in the circle where little girls sob in fear and personal beer support devices are slashed free with scissors. Due to this possible catastrophe for the Hash finances I am therefore terminating my attendance at the hash for the time being. This is of course quite unconnected with me having my fractured foot in plaster for at least the next few weeks. (Really!) GM P.S Please keep your messages of condolence short and to the point. | ||||||||
| 13/2/07 Dear GM, I agree with you on the very fabricated Trash 1473. It was the worst managed run I have ever been to. (I believe that I also pointed this out in the circle - GM) No paper, no false trail sign on the false trails, hares getting totally lost... Down with GeeMz and her associates for the hash trail. On On Avani |
||||||||
| 13/2/07 Deer Rotts, Hav just red Trash 1473. What a load of cack. Why on earth would you want to get a Hare to write her/his own trash and allow such misleading prose to adorn your cherished webshite. Yours truly. Run 1413 Hare. | ||||||||
| 13/2/07 Dear Rotter, Your instruction to Keeled for a suitable grovel is accepted as a starting point for the apology to come. Accordingly, as a gesture of good faith, I attach Part 1 of Trash 1413. (You can click here to view it, but I warn you it's hardly worth the wait - GM) On On. Towed | ||||||||
| 12/2/07 Towed, I looked for an account of TGIFH3 Run 473 but either it has not been posted yet, or more likely, its a figment of your imagination. I however found another interesting url where work is required here. GM | ||||||||
| 12/2/07 To be found at: www.geocities.com/tgifh3. As with all webshites, they're a bit slow in posting stuff but look for run 473. Towed | ||||||||
| 12/2/07 Keeled you Rotter! It was you who originally confused Trash 1417 with the crucial gap in the HHHH record that is Trash 1413. So a grovel to Towed is probably in order. GM | ||||||||
| 12/2/07 O Slimy One, Responsible clients bah! Just because you weren't able to screw the Hash Cash like you do my taxes! GM - P.S. We'll have the url of the Indionesian Trash you purport to have just written, if you don't mind. | ||||||||
| 12/2/07 Dear Sir (I presume that the use of this honorific can only refer to me - GM), Whilst we are very much aware of our corporate responsibilities, this obligation applies only in respect of responsible clients. I regret to say that your organisation does not fall into that category. I will continue to check the webshite and, once a suitable public admission of the error of your ways appears, will send trash for the correct hash. Yours respectably. Towed | ||||||||
| 12/2/07 Dear Towed, You damned pedant... You know what we need... Just deliver the goods... You're already more than a year late. And we'll deal with your colleague when he next puts in an appearance. Haven't you guys heard of corporate social responsibility? OO KO | ||||||||
| 12/2/07 Dear GM, I note your continuing and merciless demands for Trash 1417. I did, in fact, provide this some time ago but attach again for your information. I do think that Roger should be able to challenge you and Keeled in the next circle for not knowing what you want. A public apology on the webshite is, I believe, in order! On On Towed - PS. I presume that you're really after Trash 1413. | ||||||||
| 10/2/07
Dear Keeled, This message appears to be mis-directed as you
have sent it to me but addressed it to your glorious GM. I note, however,
that you have already posted on the webshite. In relation to the alleged Towed clan obsession with bodily functions, I would totally deny this. The following is an extract from an email from TU received at the same time as yours: "Got a shit free morning today, so no clearing up." Must dash now to write the trash for today's run. It's good here, as the scribe gets to do all sorts of things like adjust any new names and decide whether the run deserved hashit or good run regardless or the vote (they're a bit strange in that context in Indonesia as the hashit can only be awarded to the Hares).
