This was a Hash with a difference with a, total of 16 members turning out. However unfortunately only 10 were Kathmandu Residents the rest had come especially for the Hash from UK via Dacca (2) Hong Kong direct (3) Hong Kong via Bangkok and the Orchid flight (1). But the field was good and the numbers made it the most enjoyable hash to date. The hares, Julian and Tony Russell, had put a lot of effort into producing an imaginative run which had us scaling cliffs one moment and running along gorges the next. If one had to criticise and one must, it was perhaps a shade too long and we, or at least I, could have done with a few more checks. Nevertheless, it was a good run, enjoyable and all returned safely in good form. Highlights were - Firstly that Mel guessed right nearly every time (he says he now has the feel 111). Secondly that we scorned to cross the same river many many times. Was this revenge for the St. Christopher's act in Hash No 2? Thirdly the hash horn made its appearance - I am still waiting to hear reactions to this, though the children loved it. Lastly - not much beer was drunk as we were hurried away by Julian who wanted us to spend our money on his Guy Fawkes Night. |
Registration of the Hash I have found out the address of the KL Hash who keep the records. I am writing to get us put on the list Interhash '80 This takes place in KL on 4-6 April, for your diaries. You will get hashing around KL and Malaysia as well as a great deal of good company. Why not persuade the wife - 'Malaysia next year darling?' Hash Rules We are still running through crops - DO NOT short cut through mustard fields or ploughed fields which have been sown. Very soon the 'Hashit' will be introduced for offenders so be warned. NEXT HASH NO 5 ON NOVEMBER 12 AT 4.30 PM On the Ring Road above (North of) Baudanath towards the Budhanilkantha School. Map attached (for some). |
