Himalayan Mens Hash Run No 0022 Monday 24 March 1980
Location Near Gokarneswar on road to Sundarijal Hares Pagella and Stone
Hashit The hashmaster Scribe Pagella Hashers 17

It was certainly great to see Ian on the hash again! The gathering of the hashers took its usual course and a good field of approximately twenty eventually assembled to do battle with the hills. Keep it up Lads. I see in last week's report that we had twenty or so that week also, so one more week and the scribe has done his duty. A remarkable achievement and it shows what good writing can do.

The start could only be described as slow, only Shambo making any kind of showing up the hill. This was one of those hashes where the first frequently became the last, as the hares had laid several false trails with ingenuity and skill. A longish run along a good trail round the side hill was followed by a gradual descent through the wheat fields. This is an excellent time of year for 4H activities as warm weather and a good breeze makes it almost enjoyable (downhill anyway). For some reason paper led up the hill and with a little undignified scrambling everyone eventually returned to the

valley only to face the hill once again. A gentle trot through the pine woods, back down to the road, (a hashitable offence here by the Hashmaster who made an unprovoked attack on a poor dumb animal) up through Gorkarneswar Village and back to the cars to be met by H.E. with a cold beer very much appreciated by all.

It turned out to be one of those evening where the temperature, and the beer tasted extra good, and a hardy core of hashers hashed on for a goodly session in the moonlight. Most Enjoyable.

Next Hash: Between Godavari and Bhaktapur turning on the ring road. In the dip near the brick factory (I hope)

Hash 25 Thrash We need to know who will be there!! Who won't be there!! Lets hear it for Guy at the next hash please.

[The Hash Logbook notes the turnout as "17 and HBM Ambassador (donation)"]
