Turnout 20 This report is to be destroyed by carrying out the following instructions carefully. After reading it print the following words at the bottom "GUY STONE IS A xxxxxxxxxxx AWFUL HARE", then cut it into four equal sized pieces and use it for the only thing you can do with pieces of paper that size, each time shouting loudly "GUY STONE IS A xxxxxxxxxx AWFUL HARE". Do not let anyone else lay hands, feet, eyes or anything else on it as we could become the laughing stock of the whole hashing world. By the time 10 of us had assembled on the Ring Road at Swayabhu it was suspected something might be amiss. Could it be that our infallible organization had fallen down? A few more arrived and then came the hare IN HIS CAR. Yes the unbelievable had happened NO HARES, NO PAPER AND NO BEER. What to do? We knew what to do with Guy all night but as for the running it was left up to those people with imaginations (very few) to lead us over the countryside with shouts of ON-ON and CHECKING for no apparent reason. JC, I always thought we were a strange outfit but this performance confirmed it. Fred led 18 of us off up one of his old hash trails but very soon disappeared on his own leaving us milling around the first fork. At this point the Hash Masters took hold of the situation. "It must be this way one of them said "What must be that way" we said "Paper you fools, ON-ON' he said. We let him live in his dream world and followed faithfully. After some pretty aimless running at high altitude the fitter ones amongst us took off on a long sweep across rivers and paddy fields to a major track leading back to the Ring Road. We momentarily caught sight of the rest of you sneaking back on a very short trail obviously too embarrassed to take any notice of our clear calls of CHECKING. Our returning HM was prominent at the back of this bunch by his slouching run and rotund appearance. Let this be a lesson to anyone contemplating home leave. It simply is not worth it and anyway we need you here to keep up the members. Back at the cars there was the usual state of affairs with everyone pretending not to rush to get to one of the bar stools at the International Club. The beer there was as good as usual and we gave Guy the full treatment for his misdemeanours - any lesser mortal would not have dared stay to this stage. Ian Stewart (can anyone remember when he last ran?) was soon but we pretended not to notice. Malcolm C, you're come back at last - we missed your legs. We'd bettor also mention ROGER WOODS again or he'll get all up tight. Hashit - to Guy Stone for doing nothing Next Hash - Junction of Ring Road and Thankot Road (Rajpath) Hares - Fallen and Rosenwasser Hash No. 42 - Hares - Malcolm and Julian Gough |
