Hashit Still with Duncan Jackman Scribe Pagella

Turnout 27

Unlike the run, this report is gonna be short and sweet. You will have to read two reports this week so we don't want to strain the brains do we, and also your ancient scribe is being forced, to go on leave and he hasn't got much time. WE NEED A VOLUNTEER FOR THE WORDS FROM RUN 50. Applications to the Masters please - in writing preferably so they know you can spell words such as xxxxxxxxx and xxxxxx.

FROM JWS's private temple twenty-seven of us ran north towards the Bagmati. I mean it was so obvious what we were going to have to do - but we all live and run in hope. We got our feet wet early in the lower reaches of a very suspicious looking paddy. The first check was easy, the second was even easier and the third brought us to the banks of the Bagmati. We ran up and down the banks for a while before Master Binks splashed the 100 metres to the other side and found paper immediately, Several more checks kept us moving east getting closer to Babar Mahal until we got stumped in a vi1lage at the top of a steep incline. Somehow Guy happened to get there near the front end and started to check out the local ladies. Guy, you've just got to get to Bangkok quickly - she was 50 and had no teeth. Master B again found paper at the bottom of the hill and we then had a series of long runs and good checks but all still going east. It was beginning to look a bit like an Oddsocks and Frandsen run when we eventually turned to the south in a long sweep across the Dhobi Khola (the small one), the Bagmati (a bit bigger) and the Manohara (the biggest) rivers. We then kept to the south bank of the Manohara/Bagmati until we got past Jagat Narayan Temple, the Sankhamul Bridge and then west to Chez JWS.

Real good running JWS and David L. We got in at dusk but that was mainly our own fault for being dumb at some of the checks.

Derek M. produced the song sheet to practice for October 4 and we gave some fine renderings to the neighbours. Willy Fallon produced a veritable wardrobe of technicolor shorts for ordering. By popular consent these were voted in as the official Hash shorts. Twenty-five rupees a time, pockets specially designed for beer cans, guaranteed to leave the locals falling about.
