Himalayan Mens Hash Run No 0051 Monday 13 October 1980
Location Near Balaju on Ring Road bridge Hares Pagella and Roberts
Hashit Not awarded as too cold Scribe New scribes: Malcolm Gough and Derek Millbank Hashers 19

At last, after a long run by T.R. we have a change of scribe, two actually — so that one of them should always be fit (never) and in the valley (in body if nothing else) so once more into the leach, sorry breach, dear friends.

As the sun sank in the west, 15 odd -- very odd – H4 devotees set off, to commence making the second half century of history, from Balaju bridge. Rain yesterday and again today, ensured that the river was very nicely in spate and we all know JPs mind don’t we? said JP having fled the scene, claiming a sore back!! Dave Kedwell led us off on a square search and, inevitably, a fording of the cold waters followed. The trail then became a little confused - we still don’t seem to have mastered the false trails do we? - very muddy indeed. Several hashers found themselves sitting in the dark brown smelly XXXXX and the swearing became much louder than the cries of On ‘On’. Most of the checks produced the desired result, ie, utter and complete chaos as usual. From a vantage point on the Ring Road, it seemed a very bedraggled and damp group of nearly silent hashers that headed for the chariots, almost in the dark by now.

Not a large turn out but sufficient numbers to sink a considerable quantity of beer, D.J.M’s belt being much in demand! Many voiced the opinion that the HOT RUM is about due - it was certainly XXXXXX cold standing around after, the run - and it seems nearly time for an earlier start, so that we can not only smell but also see what we are about to fall into! The JHM present stated that both proposals would be put into effect soon - Watch-this space, KGR will pontificate on this subject on his return to KTM.

HASHIT: Not awarded, too XXXXXXXXX cold.

WALKING STICKS Not awarded - no one walked, all skated or swam. (Waders would have been appreciated)

WELCOME TO - ?? We will get your names next week.

HASH 52: Usual time, 2 kms up the SUNDARIJAL road. Take the road through Boudha, heading towards Gokarna forest, but turn left on the last dirt road before the little wooden bridge.

HASH 53: - HARES? PLACE?

Note: - We need volunteers, for hares, on future runs. QUESTION What do three blobs of paper close together mean? ANSWER - It means stop the XXXXXXXX swearing, you are upsetting the XXXXXXXXXXX HMs.
