What we had hoped would be a great turnout on a holiday eventually netted (by this I mean Pagella) 13, 6 of which were hashers on holiday from school. Not good!! The venue was ideal, the International Club, where imported boar was freely available. Knight Pinder set the trail and at 5.05 we set off. JZ assisted by ex Hash Master - held the horns and after a short lesson JZ got it nearly right~ The trail led down towards a stream and, Yes, after a short check we were invited to wade, paddle or if you were 6 ft + jump across, most tried to jump and to a greater or lesser extend depending on height got wet. Uphill with fathers Pefella and Conway suddenly taking an interest in their sons - out of practice Pagella? The trail meandered through veg. patches (please do not go through them it annoys the farmers) and eventually down again to another check. By now DK was well ahead pausing only to let us catch up before leading on paper. Odd socks found a trail across the ring road and then went bashful and would not tell anyone! DK again found paper after a check back on the Ring Road. This then led via a short check back to the Club. JZ with Young Conway felt that this was too easy so decided to visit the Soalte Hotel and other establishments before getting back some 25 minutes after the end of the Hash. No taxies were availab1e. There is something about JZ that the Young go for, earlier in the hash he found an inseperable companion (Kid), and every where that JZ went the Kid was to go! |
A good hash well laid and just right for the numbers. A very pleasant evening followed, sitting in the garden watching the Sun set. INTERNATIONAL HASH FRIDAY 17 APRIL HASH NO 78 Nedegard On the road to India over the ring road |
