RELIGION LOST! Although there were at least three devout Buddhists on the Hare Team, the pack did NOT get to the stupa, at least most of the pack didn't. Dragged out political speeches during the hash warm-up impressed neither Duckbill nor the other serious runners. Sideways offered an immediate river crossing but the wiser passed that up to loop around to the bridge. Paper seems to have headed off along slushy trails heading downstream. Why bother with that? Anyway, paper is for beginners. Once one gets the hang of the hash one should be free to enjoy the area. That stupa is impressive. Too bad the rest of the pack did not see it. Once one is on ones own its time to relax and chat with the locals, who help with river crossings and trail suggestions. No fighting dogs. No leeches. No Hash Horrors. No shouting. The counter clockwise loop through Bhadrabas brings one north to check 3. The fun is over! |

A pedant write's Dear Rotter, For the benefit of more literate hashers I would like to point out that there are at least two apostrophe's missing from the first paragraph of this weeks trash. On-on, Keeled' over Dear Keeled, Your'e writing the trash this Saturday. We look forward to a grammatically correct but thoroughly boring report. GM |

| The pack has slogged back across the Bagmati through checks 1 and 2, sometimes on paper. The climb to check 3 awards them with a backcheck down and right. It seems that the front runners did NOT wait at this holding check. The Senior Palmer starts up into the forest but listens to wiser voices before becoming leech fodder. Paper heads west level and crosses a stream where Doma provides assistance to horrors. Paper then climbs a while. Rani charges up with Christopher on her back. The Fox makes the mistake of offering a lift to Christopher who is not sure he likes the arrangement but has little choice. His mother gallops ahead. The locals at check 4 say that some have gone left and some, the front runners, right. The rest go straight despite the locals' pleas not to. | ||
| Down the slippery slope. Slog through muck. Climb a cliff. No one likes this except Rani who is keeping a safe distance ahead of her son. More mucky fields. Then we reach the motorable muck for the jog down the chariots. | ||
| The more serious runners have found check 5 by the side of the river through which they reached it have had a summit conference concerning what to do about Zep's leeches. There are varied opinions but finally the leeches are rescued. Pole balancing seems a good way of keeping away from the beasts. Check 6 is somewhere around the Bagmati above the powerhouse. There is a loop west which even Sideways does not take. Bill the Brewer and 69 get credit for doing this loop, thus the complete trail. | ||
| Horrors, along with some local kids and a few water buffalo, make the most of a great swimming hole and diving rock. Meanwhile the pack welcomes Virgins Mausami, Sigi, Viggo and Sunshine. We welcome Claire, Matt, Alexander and Handfun back from vacation. We forget to bid farewell to Sideways who is off to Canada for a while, waiting for the water level to drop at the Sundarijel beach. He needs to get a few tips form Januz before setting there again. | ||
| Lots of blood and leech photographs. | ||
| The 45 runners and 3 mutts award the hares with the usual 9.9 score. | ||
| The laid back Aru Bari mutts are in awe of Duckbill who spent every free moment chasing dragon flies. | ||
| The Hashit goes to the Fox for creativity in trail choices. | ||
| Towed's 999th birthday is celebrated. We learn how not to drink beer and eat cake. Great cake! | ||
| Hurry Krishna and Mausami's wedding is "blessed." We KNOW there are new shoes to be later christened. Hash name for Mausami? Mrs. Hurry is good. (Bill, I don't think this will go down well with the Hash PC Police - GM) At last we have a medical expert to fill in for Kate and her injured replacement. | ||
| Various kitchens, Rotter's Roost's, Towed Hall's and Tibetan Gal's, provided super food. | ||

week's quiz: 1. How many chariots got to the parking spot? 2. How many of these chariots got back up to the road? 3. How many horrors were too sick to go to school on Monday? |
