Here's what happened on Saturday 8 October 2005 at Tokha (with due acknowledgements Hash poet laureate Towed.)

The site was miles out of the city/ And at start time the GM was fidgety/ As his vehicle was alone on the promontory/ Until a rush of vehicles swelled numbers significantly.

The Hare was called Hurry/ And about his assistant he said “don't worry”/ He briefed us on the checks/ And told us not to hold our breath.

The paper led off to the west/ With Shrivelled wearing his usual vest/ Towed and Keeled went out in front/ And the rest followed with a bark and a grunt.

The paper led straight to an X/ And the location of Check 1 left us vexed/ The outgoing trail located/ Led on to holding Check 3 where all felt elated.

On-on narrow trails besides ripening crops/ We also passed by sand banks and steep drops/ The trail meandered round and round/ To holding check 6 up on a mound.

From here the trail led past Check 7/ To Holding Check 8 at a temple to heaven/ The paper swung east to another place to pray/ Fooling Towed who as usual lost the way.

The trail led back through Tokha …/ with the GM nursing a verruca / by a rock concert in full flight/ the locals stared at us and took fright.

After most of the pack had gone/ The circle was formed without Ron/ And the hare was awarded 9.10/ which doesn't happen of-ten.

Down-downs went to late-coming Fox/ And the five hash rockers who'd sneeked off to listen to 70s rock/ To the GM who took a dive/ And the Towed who's poems make us all jive!

The Hash Shit went to Flora/ Who turned out to be a good pourer/ No one wanted to set next week's Dasain hash/ And that ends this particularly half-baked trash.
